Vocational Sewing Training School

The Rotary Club of Mango City Malda has established a vocational sewing training school in honor of the esteemed PDG Dr. Kirti Ranjan Dey, PP RC Tinsukia, and PDC IW Dist. 324 Mrs. Subinita Dey. The school was officially opened on April 27th, 2022, at Inner Wheel Kunja Malda, and is being operated in collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club of Malda. Every month, on every Friday, a sewing class is held under the guidance of experienced teachers. The purpose of this class is to support women in need, helping them become self-sufficient.

Clubfoot Camp (Permanent Project)

RC Mango City Malda successfully organized its 5th ClubFoot Camp of RY 25-26 on May 31, 2026, at IMA Bhawan Malda. The event was graced by the presence of the esteemed Secretary of Paschim Banga Bighyan Mancha, Malda Mr. Manoranjan Das as the distinguished guest. This initiative by RC Mango City Malda brought together both Rotarians and non-Rotarians to support children affected by clubfoot. The club extends its gratitude to all individuals who contributed to the events success, which resulted in the distribution of 50 splinter shoes.

Free Lung Camp (Permanent Project)

RC Mango City Malda organized their 5th Free Lung Camp of RY 25-26 at IMA Bhawan on May 24th, 2026 from 11 AM to 2 PM, with the sole purpose of providing free lung checkups and medication. This initiative is being conducted under the guidance of AG Zone IV, RID 3240, Rtn. Dr. Himachal Das. Following the screening process, a total of 15 individuals were examined. Among them, 5 were newly diagnosed with lung issues, while 7 were follow-up cases showing improved lung function. All individuals received appropriate advice at no cost.

Seminar on Acting Logically in Global Impact

On May 22, 2026, RC Mango City Malda organized a seminar on "Acting Logically in Global Impact" to commemorate the International Day for Biological Diversity. The event was held at Sister Nibedita Public School, Bibeknagar, Malda in collaboration with Paschim Banga Vigyan Mancha Malda, and the Healthy Climate Initiative (HCI). Club President Dr. Abhijit Acharyya highlighted the benefits of conserving Biological Diversity and urged both current and future generations to uphold and protect Ecological Democracy. The seminar was attended by over 100 students who actively participated and engaged in the interactive communication session.

Happy School: Happy Classroom Project

On April 29th, 2026, the members of RC Mango City Malda commemorated the "Happy School: Happy Classroom Project" at Basudebpur Shukandighi Primary School, Adina Chakra, Malda, aimed at enhancing the learning environment by painting classrooms and adorning them with various images and cartoon characters, creating a cheerful and engaging atmosphere for students. Our members enjoyed the opportunity to interact with the students and distributed chocolates to them, further enriching the experience.

The Happy School Project

The Happy School Project was successfully implemented by RC Mango City Malda at Nimasarai Harasundari Primary School on January 25, 2026. As part of the initiative, the school was beautifully adorned with various cartoon models and vibrant pictures, and necessary repairs were made. The event was inaugurated by Rtn. Dr. Himachal Das, Assistant Governor of Zone IV, District 3240. Esteemed Assistant Governor and club members conducted an inspection and engaged with both students and teachers, pledging further support to sustain the project.

Participated in the Mega Blood Donation camp

On December 14, 2025, at 10 AM, All Rotary clubs of RID 3240, Zone IV?RC Gour Banga Malda, RC Malda, RC Malda Central and RC Silk City Malda, along with RC Mango City Malda?organized a Mega Donation Camp at Paul Harris Rotary Sadan, Bandh Road, Malda. Under the esteemed leadership of AG Zone IV, Rtn Dr. Himachal Das, the event was dedicated to the mission of donating Blood and saving lives. A total of 52 Rotarians and non-Rotarians donated blood, all united in their commitment to fostering a healthier future.

Club Foot Followup Clinic (Permanent Project)

The Rotary Club of Mango City Malda has been organizing the Club Foot Camp since 2012 with help of Indian Medical Association. Under the expert guidance and inspiration of Rtn. Dr. Debajyoti Kumar Bose, a weekly Club Foot Clinic has also been established at Dr. Boses Chamber. Here, children with club foot are examined and treated by Dr. Bose free of cost, on every Tuesday and Thursday. On November 26, 2025, during the official club visit, District Governor Rotarian Dr. Kameshwar Singh Elangbam visited Dr. Boses chamber and participated in the plastering of a patient. We extend our sincere gratitude to him for his involvement.

This event was a collaborative effort involving all Rotary clubs of RID 3240, Zone IV, including RC Gour Banga Malda, RC Malda, RC Malda Central, RC Silk City Malda, and Pachimbanga Bigyan Mancha Malda. Webinar about Restoring A Healthy Climate

On August 10, 2025, at 8 PM, RC Mango City Malda hosted a webinar focused on the theme "Restoring A Healthy Climate," in collaboration with HCI and HPAC. The session was inaugurated by Rtn. Dr. Kameswar Singh Elangbam, the Rotary International District Governor for District 3240. The panel featured esteemed experts Herb Simmens, Michael MacCraken, Soumitra Das, and Rituraj Phukan, who engaged in a thought-provoking discussion on the topic. With over 110 individuals registered, more than 50 participants actively joined the session, including RID 3240 District Governor Elect (25-26) Rtn. Dr. Ashim Kanti Adhikari, Assistant Governor for Zone IV Rtn. Dr. Himachal Das, RI District 3240 Environment Chair, Rtn. Dr. Sayantan Maitra along with numerous Rotarians, students, and educators. Shamolima Phase II

On August 10th, members of the Rotary Club of Mango City Malda convened to advance their tree plantation initiative, Shamolima Phase 2, at the Farmhouse of Rtn. Uday Choudhury in Ranipur village, Gazole, Malda. During this event, they successfully planted 20 jackfruit saplings, generously donated by Rtn. Shubra Kundu. Additionally, the members took the opportunity to visit the Amrapali mango trees previously planted on the same site as part of the Tree Plantation Project in 2021. This visit not only highlighted the clubs ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability but also showcased the progress made since the initial planting.

Maternal and Child Health and Hygiene Program

To raise awareness about Maternal and Child Hygiene, the RC Mango City Malda organized a Maternal and Child Health and Hygiene Program at the Milki Block Primary Health Centre on July 27th, 2025. The event featured the participation of AG Zone IV, Rtn. Dr. Himachal Das, Rtn. Dr. Pralay Kumar Das and other esteemed club members. During the program, valuable information was shared with mothers, and 30 packets containing essential food items and sanitary napkins were distributed to those in the postpartum and antepartum wards. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Milki BMOH Dr. Partha Sarkar and Medical Officer Dr. Ashraful Alam for their invaluable support in making this initiative a success.

On 20th July, 2025, RC Mango City Malda organized their first Club Foot Camp of RY 25-26. Under the esteemed guidance of our former president, Rtn. Dr. Debajyoti Kumar Bose, this noble project was conceived with the sole purpose of extending support children suffering from club foot dysfunction, all without any financial burden. Splint shoes were distributed to children with out any cost. The president of Malda Press Corner Mr. Sumit Ghosh was also present and distributed Splint shoes with club members.
